If you live in an old building, make sure to change your faucet filters often. Any skin allergies can be aggravated by heavy metals and hard water that exist in old copper pipes. If you have allergies to fake jewelry, you may also have scalp sensitivity to your shower. Especially in the winter when we use more hot water that may have been sitting in rusty pipes or the hot water boiler ( full of calcium deposits ).
